Hey ya'll. Last night I went to a Japanese restaurant for a birthday. I had planned on eating sushi, but ended up getting hibachi with all the fried rice, white sauce, etc. I feel so guilty today and the scale was up a couple lbs this morning. Any tips on quick recovery today?

When I have a bad day I drink lots of water with lemon to clean out my system. It seems to work for me. Good luck and feel better.

Just get back to being healthy. Stick to your plan, drink lots of water today and take some exercise.

Also don't ever weigh yourself after a night 'off' the plan as you will not like what you see. The good news is the gain in just temporary - as long as one bad night doesn't tunr into a bad week!

Thanks!!! I was doing so well, for over a week now (no cheats), and wasn't planning on it yesterday either! Grrrrrrrr.

Just keep your regular diet and drink a lot of water. IN a couple of days you should be back to where you were before.

Yup, water and stick to your plan.

Mentally, I always feel better if I manage to sneak in a "recovery walk" or something like that the next day. Takes some of the guilt off.

But the main point is that one day, especially one meal (a highly-sodium packed one, at that) will not permanently affect you. Dont let it get to you :-)

If I have a really bad day I try to go for a run in the evening, or the next morning, so I feel like I have balanced out.
