hi, I'm relatevly new on here and am confused about my weight and what my targets should be. I am 150lb at the moment and my goal is 140lb, (i'm 5'4) but according to my bmi my goal woeght should be a lot lower than that. Does anyone know a good site that i can use to measure my body fat, so I can use that as i guide as I know bmi isnt all that accurate. Thanks!

Thank you. I think that while these are helpful, we need to be mindful of how much our genetics play into our goals. Looking at my folks, the ideal range of BMI or weight would be unrealistic for me. Just a thought....

Yea thats link said i should be about 120, but I know that would be too low for me. I think I'm gonna stick with my goal of 140 and see how i fele and look when I get there, because I want to be a toned 140, which is obviously smaller than an untoned 140 due to density fo fat and muscle. I might pop up to Boots chemist as they have scales which weigh you and measure your bmi, fat %, heigh and weight.

Hi all! I've heard differing things about the online calculators...they're good if you are trying to get a general estimation but aren't that accurate.

I ordered an omrom hand held device and really like it. They are supposedly 98% accurate (when used correctly!) and only about $30. Either way it's been helpful in letting me know about my progress week to week.
