Sore hips

I must be getting old..... since my hips are sore after playing Ultimate frisbee. I think it's the stop/start/change direction aspect of the game that is doing it to me, since I don't get sore hips from my long runs.
Anyone have suggestions for for both treatment and prevention of sore hips?

Yoga with a good, alignment-and-anatomy-focused instructor. Hip muscles can be tight in runners - there are several yoga asanas that can help.0

Hmm, yes I was thinking yoga too. I'm thinking some post-ultimate yoga stretches as part of my cool down might help.0

I frequently have hip problems and like to do hip stretches. I use a yoga dvd, yoga for aches and pains, that really stretches you. It's on instant view on Netflix if you have that. It's kind of hard to explain but I'm sure if you just google Hip stretches you can find some video's or diagrams. It's really helped me.0
