Any Teachers looking for a Summer Challenge?

Hey! I have a goal to lose 40 pounds this summer (the actualy 2 months we have of), and I figured that this is the best time for me to focus all my energy on weight loss because I don't have to work. I've been at it for a little over a week and it is going great (11 pounds lost:bigsmile: ). So, last night I was thinking that I bet there are other teachers on here that would LOVE a similar challenge and that maybe we could get together to support each other!
Any takers? Anyone want to go back to school in the fall (actually summer for me, we start the beginning of August :grumble: ) and have teachers and students say how amazing you look!?! If you are in, let me know! Also share your ideas of what you think we could "challenge" ourselves to do. It could be a weight loss challenge or even an exercise challenge.
I look forward to hearing from all you teachers out there that are up to a challenge!

So ladies (and any gentleman that want to join us), what kind of challenge do we want to do? I am in an exercise challenge now, and I like it because it is helping me workout more....which is helping me lose weight! Any ideas? Maybe it be a challenge to do 20 minutes of exercise a day that we haven't done before this challenge. That way we are adding 20 minutes to what we already do.
Give me your input so we can come up with something that will push all of us! And, anyone else who wants to join us....everyone is welcome to come!:happy:0 -

KillingAurora - you are welcome to join! Does 20 minutes extra of exercise a day sound good to you?
Well today I went to the gym and did the treadmill for 35 minutes (my usual), then I did a bike for 20 minutes (which I usually don't do). So for me the extra things I am going to add are the bike and possibly the different types of stair machines (I'm kind of scared of those :ohwell:
I hope you all have a great day!0 -
Count me in too! I have 28# left and am planning to do two a days 3 days a week.0

Count me in! I'll have July and most of August off, so am planning to do more fitness activities (and less research, article writing, lecture planning, and marking).0

I did my extra 20 today on the bike (the low sitting one), before I went to yoga. I am thinking about trying the regular bike that is used for the spin classes soon. Maybe if I feel comfortable with them, I might even try one!
Any one try anything new today?0 -
