Gained weight back?

I've been eating less(1500-1800 calories) and exercising more for about 3 weeks now, and I lost 3 pounds, but i seem to have gained back 1.5 pounds. I also don't seem to be losing inches. Does it take longer to lose weight and inches for some people? Everyone I know that changed their lifestyles lost weight and inches really fast.

    are you sure it's not water weight, a 1.5lb fluctuation would be totally normal, how's your sodium intake?

    Body weight fluctuation is a totally normal thing. There is always some amount of undigested material in your system (some days more than others). Also, water retention varies with hormone and electrolyte levels. Just because the scale is up 1.5 pounds doesn't mean you've stored that as fat. I weigh once a week, and just focus on general trends rather than the actual numbers.

    It may take a little to kick in. Don't get discouraged, your weight fluctuates up to 5lbs just during a day.

    Agreed. Be patient and only weigh yourself when you know you are following your normal routine. IE-not the next day after going out for dinner/drinks.
