Hello fitness pals!
The subject is my mantra I guess, I dont believe in diets, if you eat cabbage soup for 2 months you will lose weight but you wont be happy and you wont be able to lead a "normal" life after without putting it back on (thats how I feel anway)
Ive slipped into bad habbits so I have decided to keep a food and exercise diary and keep an eye on whats going in so I can see areas that need changing,
I hope to keep this up indefinately hence my one rule - Saturdays are my day off!

Welcome!
And it really is a lifestyle choice. Does that make us a minority?
All kidding aside though, tracking your food can make a HUGE difference. Knowing what exactly is going into your body makes you accountable.
I also have little cheat days, you gotta be able to enjoy the things you love. My whole goal is to just control how much and how often I have the fattening and bad foods.
Good luck!0 -
Still trying to change mine! You a good inspiraiton0

I agree 100% you must change your lifestyle, there are to many people on this site as well as others who are using it as a diet plan and putting in very little time in the gym. You have to change your habits, eat healthy and work out.0 -
I dieted for years with sporadic results...Sept 2009 is when I realized (light bulb moment) that I had to change my life from the bottom up. That meant learning how to eat healthier, making better choices regarding my body and just learning how to live a more healthy existence. Its taken me about a year to break my bad eating habits...Lile Avalonis said in his post: cheat days are something I have to keep because for me food is an experience. Its moderation that has become my stabilizer.

Its encouraging to meet so many people who think the same as I do! one of my friends bless her is a total nut job, she obsesses over food weighs herself every day and thinks Im wrong to have a day off a week as I am undoing all my hard work.
If my boyfriend wants to take me out to dinner and buy me wine what am I supposed to do? face a life with no chinese food, no puddings no take away NO BURGER KING? Never going to happen!
When Im cycling 20 miles a day to and from work, and running during my lunch hours its knowing that I am only so many days away from that cheese burger day that keeps me going,
My mum taught me nothing is bad its just everything in moderation, it was not controlling the moderation bit that got me up to my heaviest but I wont let it happen again0 -

Tully's Caramel Latte
Beef and Pork Terriyaki
California Pizza Kitchen - Entire BBQ chicken and Bacon Pizza

+ dessert
Whiskey shots!
Zero Chocolate Nougat bar
