Just for accountability purposes...I am so totally binging today. Haven't really done that since I've joined. I decided last night that I wasn't going to hold back from anything today. I've got company in town (their last day here). It's also that TOM for me and I've gained 4.5lbs. anyway. I'm letting go...just for today. So bring on the strawberry creamslush from Sonic and the totally loaded with butter, popcorn from the IMAX theater later on tonight.

I'll probably be sick to my stomach later, but it will be worth it. I'll still log in all my eats too (which will probably make me even more sick after I see the results). :ohwell:

:noway:  That scares me cause I try to relate different post to my life and the advice and information i get from others on here. If u can go on "mini" binge and handle it :that is great. I know for me that would lead to disaster, I would be forever trying to get back on the right track. So the thought of going on a mini binge for me is scarey. AHHHHH! I am probably a little jealous  cause i can't do it!! Enjoy your day/night out with your company. :flowerforyou:
with that said I am off to the gym. have a super day

Good for you, you've definitely earned it! I'd say don't be suprised when you feel thinner a few days after a mini binge, that always happened to me, guess it shocks your system or something, i would think i must've gained five lbs and would be down a lb, it's a nice side effect of the occasional bad day. Have a great time today.

I say go for it !!!! I allow myself pizza and beer every Friday night and most Saturday mornings I weigh less than I did on Friday morning. I'm just sure to be good all week long so I can afford to have my treat. ENJOY!

Yup, that is the part that gets me back on track after a mini-binge!! Have a great time with your friends!
  • Mini binges are good!
My daughter and I have baked about 10 dozen cupcakes and muffins in the past 2 days. I did really well the rest of the day..and exercised..so I figured taste testing was ok ..and I only ate a couple each night..the rest went into the freezer.
My weight didn't go up 5 pounds (it was actually up .4)..and now I have had my fun..enjoyed my time with my daughter..now back to work.
The hard part now is staying out of the freezer..LOL

Enjoy your day off..have fun..and hopefully your not to sick when it is all over.

Hmmm...Well, I logged in everything and I actually had 192 calories left over. Go figure. The biggest damage was going to Dennys for breakfast and consuming over 2000g of sodium. :noway: Yikes! But right after I posted here, I did check out the nutritional facts on the creamslush I wanted from Sonic - 99g of sugar?! :noway: I opted for the mocha light frappacino (sp?) from Starbucks instead (28g of sugar for a venti), which still took me over my sugar limit for the day. But it was soooo good. The popcorn wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. So yeah. Aside from Denny's, I actually didn't do that bad. And I did manage to earn about 600 calories from hitting the gym for 30min. and lots of walking around (about 4hrs.) - waaay more than my "normal" day and drank tons of water throughout the day.

BTW - Finally saw Dark Knight at the IMAX. It was...awesome!

Enjoy! But remember your body can't handle what it used to so watch that belly ache that may come on later tonight. As shared in an earlier post...todays a treat day and keep it to one and you're gonna rock when you come back tomorrow all set and ready to begin anew. I think it's important to preplan a few things like fun days....otherwise we make them guilty days where we eat crap anyway, then take days to get over the guilt:drinker:

Have fun with the company and enjoy the yummy popcorn:laugh: :grumble:

How's today going for you??:flowerforyou: Hope it's been a great one! I think a pre-planned mini-binge is so smart of you all. In the past a binge just seemed to 'come over me'....like a space ship landing in the back yard, only it seemed to land in the kitchen....:noway:

But YAY nowadays eating my 5-6 times a day has REALLY helped me get in what I want to/need to and I do soooooooo much better. I know somr of you haveshared you do a treat day/free day each week.

I'm not sure I am ready for that...it scares me even after losing 100+ I don't want to get the cravings started again cause it can take me days to break free of them again ya know quite actually...come to think of it...now that I've been eating clean 99.9% of the time I do find myself able to recover by the next meal, the next morning or whatevre comes soonest. That was NOT something I could do in the past.

There's HOPE for us all no matter what stage we're in, beginning out or nearly to goal, we all have similiar struggles with food and similar goals ..our HEALTH and to be fit!:drinker: :drinker:

If I can do it...really WE ALL CAN! TRULY...I look at my ticker or my profile page (which btw...I need to update!) and I am BLOWN away each time thinkin of how far I've come, knowing that if I can lose that much since last Summer I can keep it up. Last year at this time I could NOT do much at the gym, baby steps...I didn't think I'd be able to finish the Fitness Center tour out....LMBO:laugh: I seriously wondered how she thought I'd make it....she was trottin along and I was trailing, thinking OMG...this place is WAY to huge to even just do a walk through. Now I have come way past that am having to giggle at the things I used to be unable to do. But I giggle with pride!

... But in time maybe that's what I need (ok now I'm back to the free day topic (sorry I added lines inbetween so just testing you to see if you can keep up!) but I do eat some treats in very small quantity like a broken off corner of Organtic 80%Cacao Dark Chocolate (with chili pepers or hemp/sunflower seeds, flax seeds) (then it goes right back in the freezer) which seems to really help me to reign in a potential craving but then go to the outta sight outt a mind deal.

Hits the spot and unlike the types of candy with straight up sugar I don't feel an urge to eat the whole bar (ACK!:noway: )

Sorry this was so short but heading to the shower and lots to get done today :)

I'm feeling quite inspired by reading the board today...thank you all!:drinker: :drinker: :flowerforyou:

I've been doing pretty good since then. I haven't had any problem jumping back on the wagon. I thought I would, but I'm okay. I will say that while I had company, I didn't go to the gym near as much as I should've. I was back at the gym today though and worked my butt off. I SOOOO didn't want to go and looked for every excuse not to, but in the end I felt so much better and can hardly wait to go back tomorrow.

Doesn't that always feel great! When you have to miss it for whatever reason, then you are out of the habit, it's tougher to go...but once you get there it feels so good and is then motivating you to head back in the next day.

    I love that feeling....
