Having the time......

I have no idea how i would fit in the time to go to the gym!!!
Maybe when my daughter is older it will be easier?!?!?!

The problem I have is the time we eat dinner in the evening.
My daughter eats at nursery, my husband gets in a 6.30, daughter goes to bed at 7.00, so I end up cooking at about 7.30 and we eat at 8ish, so I really don't want to be going to the gym at 9pm - I'm shattered by that time!!!

I see you all doing all your exercise - which is great, but i really can't see how I can fit it in!!!

I have been cycling my daughter to nursery, but it's only 5 minutes each way, and i can fit in a 20 minutes 30-day shread session some days, but other than those two, I find it difficult!!!

If a gym is that hard for you to fit in, then forget it. There are plenty of other ways to get in exercise that don't require a gym membership. 30DS is good if that works for you. There's also many body weight exercises and cardio exercises you can do that require no gym membership. You can't fit in another 20 minutes of cycling after you drop your daughter off? A good goal would be 30 minutes a day 5 days a week of moderate exercise.

Couldn't have said it better. A gym is nice, but when your short on time (and sometimes $$), its easier to fit in exercise on your own time. I know you don't really want to do it at night, but sometimes you have to decide what's more important. 9 out of 10 my exercise gets done after my daughter goes to bed at 8pm.

I have to be out of the house by 7:15am, get home around 6, make dinner, do baths, get the kids to bed around 8ish. No way would I go to a gym! I use DVDs at home at 5am. Fits my schedule, plus I don't have to drive there or take any extra time looking appropriate for the gym, etc. I'm usually in bed by 9!

The only time I have to work out is at night, when my kids finally go to sleep.

I have found lots of videos of stuff on youtube.

There are other ways to be active besides the gym. For example, don't go looking for the closest parking spot, use the stairs instead of an escalator, wash your car with a water hose instead of taking it to a car wash... just try to fit in as many little things you can during the day and it'll all add up. Just do what you can to squeeze in that little bit and watch your food intake. It'll all come together. When the time does pop up where you have a few hours, definitely take advantage of it with a nice long walk or bike ride.

What do you do while your daughter is at nursery? Do you work? I was just wondering if maybe you could do some exercising while she was at nursery.
