a funny NSD...non-scale defeat

I just went to the gas station. I didn't shave this morning so I had a little scruff going on. The girl at the counter (early 20's) who I know said "ya know Paul, a 5 o'clock shadow on a skinny guy looks hot, on a big guy, not so much". I didn't take it as an insult, she has watched my progress and been very supportive. When I got home I looked in the mirror, she was right, LOL I already have shaved.

    It is nice when friends are honest - as long as it is not meant to be cruel. But I don't think it is a defeat - you will always be a big guy - even when you loose the weight. But, now a 20-something chick is noticing you!
