Hey guys! So I have a george forman grill that I cook all my food on. I was wondering since it is supposed to drain the fat out of the food, does it really make a difference? If it does, how and can I log it?

Thanks!

I'm interested in knowing as well. Although I don't have a George Forman, mine is a Panini Grill, but does pretty much the same thing as far as draining the fat out of the food.

I don't know - but if you really wanted to test it out you could start with a clean grill, collect the fat that comes out, let it get cold, separate the fat from the water, weigh it and calculate the calories...
(Bear in mind that the liquid that comes out is not going to be pure fat)

In practice, I wouldn't bother. You have to remember that the calorie counts can only ever be an estimate because the steak you are cooking might have more or less fat/moisture this week than last week. I think that if you are concerned about fat you would be better choosing unprocessed meat (ie not burgers, sausages etc) where you can trim off visible fat, cook it without adding extra fat then enjoy it :)
