I'm doin good getting to my goal but still a ways off. Is doing sit ups gonna have any effect while my belly is still large? I know it will strengthen them and all but it doesn't help it get smaller right? Just gotta do the cardio / calorie watch for that right? Thanks

Guess I'm really wonderin if I was at the last 5 mins of my workout and had to choose should I do sit ups or cardio if my main goal was losin the belly fat.

Pretty sure I know the answer but just in case....

While it won't burn belly fat, it will build muscle in your core. The more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn in the long run. My belly is definetly not perfect even that small, I still do core work pretty often. A strong core will also make you less prone to injury during your other workouts.

You can't pick and choice what areas to work on first. Your body loses weight where ever it decides to. So yes doing sit ups would be helpful because it burns calories. And that is your goal.
