C25K question

Anyone currently training with C25K? I just started today. I recently finished month 1 of Insanity and loved it. Month 2, however, not so much. I figured I'd get back into running for now and try it again later.
My question is: Since I'm in half-decent shape cardio-wise bc of Insanity the first day/week seems very easy to me. Has anyone jumped right to the 2nd or 3rd week? Or maybe supplemented the program? I don't want to completely mess myself up in the program, or go out of order if it'll have negative consequences.
Thinking of maybe doing some Insanity on the off days... Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

There's nothing wrong with jumping right in to a different week if the first week or so is not challenging enough for you. Go ahead and give it a go. You want to challenge yourself but at the same time don't want to overdo it.0

on the cool runnings website that gives you the schedule it actually says in there... "It's easy to get impatient, and you may feel tempted to skip ahead in the program, but hold yourself back. Don't try to do more, even if you feel you can."
So I'd say stick to the program. That part might seem easy but if you just jump to week 4 or more you might have issues cuz you didn't start at the beginning. Good Luck. I just finished Week 4 day 1 today!!0 -
Go ahead and skip to a higher week!.... I'm on week 7 and depending on how I feel, I switch up the weeks as I need to (e.g. if I don't feel like running 20 minutes consistently, I'll go back to the 5 minute intervals)... The further ahead you get, the easier a 5K will be. Good luck! Feel free to add me, if you wish :happy:0
