Good morning people!
Well, I took the test. Not pregnant. I have no idea what's going on with my body. It's all messed up right now. A little disappointed but I can focus on working out for another four weeks until next time! On the bright side...I think...it's that time of the month and the scale hasn't moved up so maybe, just maybe, I will have lost a pound after it passes.
Today is cleaning up the house (since I didn't do anything yesterday) because my inlaws are suppose to be coming for a visit later. I may also get in a walk this morning if I get the house work done fast enough. I have my push ups test later today or tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the pregnancy test Melissa, but it's so good to see that you have such a great attitude! Not to mention that you are ready to jump right back into your pushups! I just finished week three and it was HARD, I'm so impressed with how far you've gotten! How many can you do consecutively now?
Good news- WE WON our championship game!!! It was hard seeing our friends lose, but we played SO well. Our defense was amazing, our shots just dropped (most of the time!), and if I do say so myself, my rebounds rocked the house! :happy: It was so good to come in as the underdogs and walk away with trophies! Plus I scored our team's first points for the game ... we won't talk about the part where I got fouled off though.... :ohwell:
My goals for tomorrow are to drag my tired body (I played over three hours of basketball today all up) out of bed and to body pump tomorrow. Walking there and back and doing the class is enough for me on a Sunday!

Took my bike to the gym for the first time yesterday. It was faster than driving, but there is an intersection I'm not thrilled about. I'm going to try to walk it this week and see how long it takes. The other disadvantage is that I should warm up before taking the road to the gym - it's all uphill - nice coming back though. Did the elliptical at the gym.
Today is biking and maybe some walking? Who knows. Ah, vacation. Won't be logging calories for the until a week from Monday! And, of course, telling you guys what delicious treats I'm having. I'm shooting for 750 calories burned a day this week. The weather won't be as nice as last week but not too bad.

Im a little down today, it's probably because TOM is coming soon. I usually am ok with the fact that im fat. It hasnt bothered me in a looooooooong time. I now am eating about 1600cals a day and still losing weight. I was thinking of taking a break, but then I saw my backside in the mirror and I still look fat. I may not look my actual weight, but I still look fat. Usually my husband and I joke about my weight. This is a bit "R" rated, but one time he said "Im hungry" so I said "You can eat me!" then he said "No, sorry, im on a low fat diet". I laughed so hard. I still think that was funny. It doesnt bother me. But now when hes making the jokes (he never intends to hurt my feelings EVER) it does hurt. Just these last two days. Like they are getting in thongs (I WOULD NEVER WEAR THEM! even as skinny haha) at his work place and only ordered small to medium.. and James (husband) asked me what size I was, and I said large. Then he said "no offense, but your the only one. all my other workers gfs and wives are skinny" which kinda hurt my feelings. Then this morning (this is kinda morbid but its on ongoing inside joke) I said "After I murder you, I should just take a knife and carve my body to how I want it." then he said "you should carve yourself before I die so I can finally see what you look like skinny" Yes thats morbid but its a long story haha But that still hurt my feelings. I dont want to tell him it is cause it really shouldnt be. Like I said im just a bit down today. :frown:0

Today I have an appointment with my trainer. . .so that's exciting. . .
Got word yesterday that our landlord has put our building up for sale. This is probably very bad news, as new owners tend to evict tenants, gut apartments and charge higher rents. So, now I'm on the (daunting) quest for the absolutely perfect huge apartment in our budget in a hipper neighborhood. Yikes. Or, of course, we could wait and hope that the new owner lets us stay put at the same rent. . .ah, the joys of city life. Currently, my "office" is a corner of our living/dining/kitchen area. . .so I'm dreaming of being able to have my own room with a door, as this dissertation isn't going to write itself. (is it? It would be so nice if it did.)
Yesterday, I had another alarmingly low energy day. . .hoping I perk up some today. Also, due to skipping exercise, I ended up the day at 400 calories over (oops.)
So, to stop my rambling: today is weights, interval training on the elliptical and not eating pad thai for dinner. I guess at least if I moved there wouldn't be a Thai restaurant literally 20 feet from my front door. . .so that might help the old nutrition.
Congrats on the win, BB, MM. . .sorry about the test, but you know it will happen when the time is right, and MWD. . .taunt me with your treats all you like! I can take it. (actually, I can't. . .I'm weak and easily influenced. . . )

Take a moment to yourself. I know that sometimes what is kidding can really hurt. But, remember that you are a gorgeous lady, at whatever size. . .tres, tres jolie! (et viola. . .francais!)0 -
Carrie - it's hard not to be hurt by comments like that. Do not take a break. Do not give up. As V and Julie will tell you, the only way to lose weight is to stick with it. Also, work on your body image. Look at the positive aspects - the things you like - about your body. When I'm feeling, less than skinny, I look at my forearms.

Carrie, you should tell your hubby those comments hurt, because they do. I don't know your husband but I would think he would be understanding, right?

Well, I did my push up test this morning. I set my goal and went for it and actually made it! 50 consecutive push ups! Whoo-hoo! I started to compromise my form in the 40's though. SO I am half way there! Hopefully I will be done in a few more weeks!
Gotta go for a fast run! My in laws will be here in about two hours and I will need to shower and get Alex in the tub!0 -

I've been drinking decaf during the day. . .and I actually haven't cut back, just tried to. (low energy levels) This is very "fibro-flare-up" feeling. . .which I hope not. . .I just sort of feel like I've been hit by a truck. Sitting down on the sofa =s asleep these past few days. I did check the calendar, and I'm ovulating. . .I've been having this during my period, could it now be when I ovulate as well? I'm pretty frustrated with my girl parts right now. . .I'm thinking some hormone thing is way out of whack or something. . .. maybe I'm just crashing from the stress of the first few weeks back at school? Who can say?0 -
Barefoot - welcome (I think I forgot to welcome you yesterday) and congratulations on winning your game! That's awesome!
Carrie - it can be hard to explain why some jokes are okay and others hurt your feelings. Sometimes that's just how we are! I think it's worth mentioning to your husband because I'm sure he's not trying to hurt your feelings.

And Vivia - hope you had fun with your trainer and more energy today. Good luck with your housing situation. I adore Thai food (had it tonight, in fact ) so I can sympathize. And if you do find a way to coax your dissertation to write itself...I must know your secret!0
