Basically yesterday I used my HRM for the first time, after a full hour of aerobic boxing class I burnt 5.5g of fat... my heart rate went from 130's up to 195...
Today I went for a run only 25mins, burnt a 275 calories, but no fat what so ever... I had a pretty much constant heart rate of 180...

so really Im wondering how to burn more grams of fat! I do want to get fitter but fat is my main concern at this moment in time. (sorry if this question has been asked before Im pretty new to this kind of stuff!) THANKS!

You did burn fat, but you were not in the fat burning zone so it did not calculate anything for you. Ignore the fat burning zone it is a crock of s%&t. You may burn a higher % of calories from fat, but you will burn less total calories, and less calories from fat.

As an example say in the fat burning zone you burn 60% calories from fat, while in the cardio Zone you burn 45% from fat. So in a 30 minute workout you may burn 240 cals in the fat burning zone but 360 in the cardio zone 60% of 240 is 144 cals from fat in fat burning zone, whereas 45% of 360 is 162 cals from fat in the cardio zone.

The harder you workout the more calories you burn, the more weight you lose and the more fit you become. So in the cardio zone you not only burn more calories and calories from fat, but you improve your athletic performance.

Please ignore the zones and just work your A@% off.

Thank you, I wasn't trying to keep myself in any zones as I don't know what they are, all I know is yesterday I burnt 600 calories having a high HR so I was trying to do the same today.... I will just continue to work hard and ignore the fat burning part! Thanks :)
