I am sorry to be posting this but I have noone else to ask.
I have been on 1200 a day for 6 days now. I am trying very hard to get in my water. I have managed 5 glasses a day thus far and starting my 5th today.
My URINE is strong smelling. I mean, it is hitting the toilet c;ear (as it should) but there is a STRONG scent remaining even when I stand and flush.
My husband said maybe my body detoxing? Anyone else experience this?

Mine did that for about a week, now I'm just full of gas. I've never had so much in my life! lol so i gotta say, I'd take back the stinky urine as a trade for the gas lol0

I'm on my first week and I've found that too, I'mm drinking 2.5-3 litres of water so thought it would be really weak.0

"Consuming a strong-smelling food, supplement or beverage can change the odor of urine. Asparagus and coffee are two common edible items that contribute to urine changes. The Mayo Clinic lists vitamin B-6 supplements as a common cause of strong urine scent."

Look more at color then scent. the darker the yellow the more dehydrated your body is.0 -
Thanks for the pee chart. Helpful! I am glad I am not the only one experiencing the odor. I thought "Darn another thing I will need medication for!"0

I didn't have a smell but whenever I take in a large amount of vitamin B (either through suplement or by drinking rockstar/redbull/monster etc) my pee turns extremely neon yellow almost to the point of looking slightly green. The amount of water i drink makes no difference as soon as i consume a large dose of vitamin B its all over.
So on that note, maybe you've started taking a supplement or have added a new food as part of your diet plan that is causing this?0
