When I started the gym a month ago, I got a free training session. All of the upper body exercises and lower body exercises are on a card, tells me what weight and how many sets/reps. Once I get to 30 reps, I move up the weight the next time. One day I do upper and the next day I do lower. Also, I do at least 30 mins of cardio. What some people don't realize is you still get cardio on some machines and exercises... I didn't really think about it until I got a hrm. My whole thought of it all is, why just lose weight if I'm not going to be toned? I don't want to have 10 lbs of excess skin if I can help it lol0

I just joined a gym and wear my own HRM and noticed too that I burn more fat by strength training than cardio.
I guess it is a good thing.0
