How much fibre?

how much should you eat a day? Mine is set at 15g but I keep going over it

    I don't think fiber is "bad" to be over in. I'm usually over and it hasn't affected my weight loss. If anything, it helps "clean you out" lol and therefore make you lighter.

    Really 15g of fiber isnt much. Its fine to go over, just make sure you drink your water
    Im always over, sometimes over 30g depending what I eat and no ill effects:smile:

    My nutritionist told me to aim for a minimum of 25 grams of fiber per day...there is no maximum (I don't think) so the more the better!!! Fiber is very good for you...it decreases your chances for colon cancer and it can lower your cholestrol among other things.

    PS: You might to increase it slowly though so you don't get gas or bloating...it takes the body a few days to adjust to a big change in the amount of fiber you eat.
