What should my net calories equal?? So after all that I have eaten and all the calories I lose during exercise what should my number be? Should it be positive or negative if I want to lose weight?

Hi there, it should be positive you dont want to go into the negative, good luck0

You really don't want to have less than 1200 net calories0

How positive should it be?0

MFP will add calories to what you should eat when you exercise. There is tons of debate about eating your exercise calories, but basically, if you eat what it tells you to eat you'll lose weight. Shoot for your final number at the end of the day to be positive (green), but close to zero. As you get further into this, you'll get a feel for if you can leave more "extra" and still lose weight. Good luck!0

It should meet your daily requirement. So if your daily requirement is say 1200. You wanna meet 1200. If you ate 1600 hundred calories but at the end of the day lost 400 through exercise you would end up with 1200 calories which is your daily goal - you would be right where you wanna be. Make sense?0

Thank you - it does make sense now!0
