I was a tennis player as a kid up till 17 when I blew my knee. I weighed like barely 110 and I was always tall. (5'8") I stayed that way until I had kids (3 within 3 years). I managed to keep my weight around 160-180 after the kids (even though FDA said I was over weight because I needed to be 135), that is a unrealistic value. I had 3 Large children, bi-lateral achilles tendis, (makes it difficult to walk or be on my feet for long) arthritis in my hips, degenerative spinal desease, high cholesterol (from my mother), thyroid issues, (among many many other problems i wish not to discuss). So I have been struggling for several years to lose weight. (I got up to 238 then back down to 220) I am somewhat active, walk and take buss everywhere, including WII Fit. I was doing real good before this quarter started and was down to 210.

I have been careful what I eat for a long time, veggies, fruits, whole grain breads, 2% milk, non-processed foods and so on. I'm in school (5 years now) and this quarter turned to mush. I basically spent two months on my butt at a computer doing homework what seemed to be non stop 24/7 with very little sleep. I have been going to the doctors saying something didn't feel right. I'm not eating any different. The blood work got done, and other tests,.... This past weekend, it was like professor plump, I could actually feel the weight being put on me. Going up my 3 flights of stairs suddenly felt like a challenge. Every week or two for the past month I have watched the scale add 6 to 10 pounds. Now I'm 255, higher than I have ever been in my life. I cried to my doctors, pleading with her, that this two months has done something different and I need help.

So here I am, I found this site. My doctor gave me the what to do's and not to do's, I did a brisk walk with my daughter last night for 45 min. and felt great. I am going back to the way I was before, eat then move around. I have always watched what I bought, stayed away from high fructose, cholesterol, high calories, fat and so on. But still have issues losing weight.

Well thanks for reading. Heres to us all and a healthy America
