Hi,
I have been on MFP for 40 days and have lost 10lbs so far. I decided I needed to make a lifestyle change after I was hospitalized for asthma that was exasperated by the flu virus I caught. Of course, when you are hospitalized you are weighed. I had not weighed myself in over ten years prior to this hospitalization. Needless to say, I was shocked at how much I weighed as well were the nurses. They kept putting me on and off the scale and switching to different scales because they could not believe the number (this made me feel slightly better because they did not think I looked as heavy as I was). This whole process was humiliating and just added to the misery that I already felt from the illness. I have over 150lbs+ to lose and would love to meet people who are in the same boat as well as others. I have already gotten a lot of motivation and support just from reading all your wonderful posts and I hope to offer the same to others.

Thats exactly where I'm at. I went to the hospital for a physical and they weighed me twice....and then just kind of looked at me....I was 16 I believe and weighed about 226....and im 5'8.....so tall but still big....I carry my weight well fortunately but im just heavy and unhappy. So its time for change ...im looking to loose 20 this summer. But overal about 50 pounds ....we can do it!!!
