Faster than a speeding bullet
Some still wonder why I drive, talk, and move so fast,
The answer is simple, I have a lot to do presently, to attain the future I deserve before I pass,
So this means a few things to a few people,
I will more than likely ignore your call, then text you back when I can,
I will probably always say "I'll be there" and have a last minute change of plans,
I don't purposely do those things just to be a jerk,
But I have an obligation to save the city, and the patrons that reside in it,

More powerful than a locomotive
strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men,
I can change the course of mighty rivers, and with the flick of my wrist, I can make steel bend,
I can make "Da Poetry Lounge" shake, all I need is "A Mic and Dim Lights",
With mind control I can make Girlfriends and Ex's fight,
I can make kids with A.D.D. pay attention, and the most rebellious of teens perform chores,
I have the strength to take on the world, carry the burdens I've been given and you love me because I'm still willing to carry yours...if you let me,

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound
With legs this strong you have to understand why I never really wanna kick it,
I mean I can't even play soccer without revealing my true self,
So as a kid, during kickball I sat the bench with a pen and pad, writing,
Even though those super baby bouncies were so, enticing,
So what I'm trying to get you to understand is this,
It's not easy being me,
But it's even harder being in love with me,

Master of Disguise
To my Mother I'm her baby,
To my Brother I'm his little big brother or Big little brother,
To my boys I'm what fortunate earthlings call, a Father,
To professors I'm a nerd,
To my homies I'm the realest,
To fans of my writings, I'm a talented artist
But to the woman I love more than anything in the world...I'm a disappointment,

Think about it
Every superhero has a super dame,
Every Superman has a Louis Lane
Every Wolverine has a Silver Fox, Mystique, Jean Grey, Elektra (Wolverine was quite the Lady's Man)
Anyway,
Every Spider-Man has a MaryJane,
And I was blessed to have You,
But you were cursed to have me,

I can save you from harm,
I can shelter you when cold,
Feed you when hungry,
Destroy anyone who harms you,
But I can't give you the small things,
I can't hold you through the night, Baby the city needs me,
We argue because you swear I'm keeping secrets, but if I told you the truth you wouldn't believe me,
I'm always working so you never get to see me,
So despite my intuition, I accept and expect for you to leave me, Because,
Reason, Rhyme, Crime, and Time just won't let me give you the one thing you need...me

Love, this cape isn't just what I wear,
It's who I am,
