Hi! I am embarrassed to say I have gained so much weight! I have been overweight my entire life and I did lose 40 pounds about 6 years ago but I gained every bit of it back. I just got back from Gulf Shores and I am sooo depressed of how the pictures came out and the fact that I promised myself if and when I went back to the beach I would not look like this! It is so bad I can feel my butt is huge!! I am just sick, depressed and for once in my life I am asking for help.

I know what to do, but for some reason I can't get my tail in gear to exercise or eat right....maybe I just need a buddy to help me? I really would like to lose it before my birthday in September. Can anyone help this repeat dieter??????

I'll totally friend you! I've been up and down my whole life too, so I can relate. You just have to re-train how you think about food and be good to yourself -- that way it's NOT a diet. You can stay satisfied on good food!

I totally agree! With a diet, you will only lose temporarily until you stop and then over time you will gain the weight back. You have to change your attitude to food and exercise. Try and make it fun to look for new low fat food or low cal recipes. Search for workouts that you enjoy like Zumba or walking. MFP is a great help and you will find huge support here but the first step has to come from you alone.

I am adding you as a friend right now (if you'll accept me). It's a lifestyle change, and all you need is the motivation inside yourself and the support!

I hate working out too!!!! I purchased a wii and got the golds gym dance game! It's really fun and before I know it I am sweating and burning calories! The great thing about the wii (at least to me) is that its interactive, im in the privacy of my own home and its really fun! Just a suggestion!

Anyways, good luck on your journey! you can do it! :)

Yes, I will friend you too. It's not easy but you can do it. I find now that I am using this site, I am automatically planning a lot better. Maybe you just need to sit down, write out a plan for change and decide when you will start. Even if you need a week or two to work up to it, you'll feel better knowing you're taking control back!

Thank ya'll so much!!!! I just need a group of friends that I can share my expierence with. Right now I dont have anyone that truly understands! Thanks!!!!

So far today I had two boiled eggs and 1/2 grapefruit for breakfast and I am not hungry. For lunch I plan on having either a salad or some type of wrap.

How do you accept a friend request?
There should be a nice green "Accept" button.
