lol...yep, at least for me does! For the first time in a long, long time, I actually looked at myself in the mirror today and said, "wow, you're looking pretty darn good". It just makes me want to keep on going until other people say that about me, too...lol.

Oh yeah, its not just you. I am incredibly vain lately. And I still have a ways to go, but I love everything happening, love the new clothes, lookin' good. Its awful! LOL!0

Nothing wrong with a little self appreciation. If you don't start liking yourself at some point, what's this journey really about? i think everyone has a little vain streak and I think it's healthy. It's what keeps us motivated to be our best, look our best and keep pushing. As long as we don't let it get the best of us, it's all good.
Good for you and keep going, the compliments will be flying no doubt!0 -
I like to think of it not as vanity but as confidence in what I am doing!!!0

Yea, there is something about putting on muscle that makes mirrors nicer =]0

Agreed! lol I think we all feel much better and look at ourselves more when we lose the weight :bigsmile:0

That's great! And you ARE looking good! We ALL are! Congratulations on your NSV, self-love is the most important kind!0

have u seen this gun show *flexes arms* pow bam boom! its healthy being vain as long as your not an *kitten* about it. i wake up every morning, look in the mirror, and say "i love you"0

good for you! I don't think it's vain necessarily. I just think so many of us are used to looking in the mirror and saying to ourselves "ugh, you look awful". So, when you look and say "you're looking pretty good!" it's a big 180. Enjoy those moments. Don't beat yourself up for them. You're achieving great things!0

I don't think that looking at yourself and thinking you look good, or even wanting others to think you look good is necessarily vain. It's when you expect special treatment because you look good that it becomes an issue.
Either way, many congrats to you!0 -
Since starting this process, I find myself looking at other people differently. I notice how others look and wonder how they got that way. When I see someone who is really fit, I wonder how they got that way. What do they eat; what's their exercise routine?
Looking in the mirror usually evokes a double-take response. Mentally I'm still fat, and then I pass a mirror or catch my reflection in a store window and bam!, double-take and ask, "How did he get so good looking?" Then I realize, "Hey wait a minute. Is that me?"
It's still shocking sometimes. :blushing: :drinker: :glasses:0
