So far I'm only on day 5...I love it!! Tried the yoga melt and its hard since I have like no upper body strength. Good luck!0 -
Hi,
First of all, congratulations on your 6 pounds! You are deffinately on your way. I have done a lot of Jillian DVD's and I found that her "No More Trouble Zones" gave me the best results. I would recomend switching up the DVD's, so your body doesn't get used to the exercises performed. The more you keep your muscles guessing, the better results you will have.
If you have access to a gym, I would also recommend J's book, "Making the Cut". It has recipes and a workout plan that is intense, but highly effective.
Good luck and great job!

I strongly suggest that if this is the first time doing these videos that you start slowly. I jumped right in to NMTZ and walked like the Tin Man for a week. Of course I hadn't been doing anything prior except walking. I got quick results with NMTZ. This video is longer. I don't own 30d shred. I have ripped in 30 and am still on week 2. Yes, after doing NMYZ every other day for 3-4 months I moved to ripped and 30 and this is a very intense workout. I love the fact that it is shorter in duration for when I'm short on time. I beleive that all of Jillians videao's are effective if you use it regularly and stick with it. :happy:0

I own her banish fat boost metabolism, 30 day shred, ripped in 30, and no more trouble zones dvds. Hands down her no more trouble zones dvd has given me the best results! It's essential to my weekly workout schedules!0

Thanks guys!! Its good to know her NMTZ is loved
I think I might take the advice and do the 30DS one day and NMTZ the next to keep my body adjusting.
Did you guys lose weight and inches?0 -

Hello again,
I lost inches and pounds with J's DVD's. However, it took a little time for the lbs to come off. I noticed that I was getting smaller, and my pants fit better, but the scale stayed the same, for some time. I can almost guarantee the reason for this is I was losing fat, but gaining muscle, which is heavier and more dense than fat cells.
I have read before in a study that was published that women who weigh themselves everyday are more succesfull at losing weight and keeping it off. But I also think that looking at the scale everyday can lead to disappointment, because drastic weight loss doesn't happen overnight.
I think focusing on how much better you feel, how much more energy you have, how your clothes fit, and more defined your muscles are, is much more important than what the scale says everyday. I think it helps keep things in perspective.
You are clearly very motivated, so keep up the good work!
Anna
P.S. If you are a home workout type gal, there are some great yoga videos on Hulu and Netflix, which are nice to do on your days off from Jillian.0
