What I've learned and now where to go?

So, I saw a therapist last week who explained what happens to your body when you binge eat......Your body thinks you are saving up for famine so it stores excess calories straight to fat...For instance, if you binge at lunch and decide to skip dinner, but eat the next morning in a normal manner, that food will probably go directly to fat as well.....He said that's why most bulemics are fat, because even though they purge the food, the body has already been fooled in thinking they need to store everything consumred as fat.....

Now, I'm still struggling, wondering what my next step should be. I will go back to see him to find ways to overcome my over indulging habit (with food and alcohol). I sure wish I had the problem of overindulging in lettuce and water....WTF???

My Weight Watchers magazine just came in today and I'm thinking of going back to that, but I really don't want to spend the money. I also have a freaky issue with the weekly points allowance they provide...For instance, I feel if I don't eat the extra weekly points by the end of the week, then I make sure to cash them in at the end of my week which means I usually go over even more.

Someone PLEASE tell me what I should do....Obviously, I can't follow WW on MYP....

I need wine!

Seems to me like you probably know how to cook healthy and have the basic idea. Just input your info and see what your MFP alots you for calories and such. Just go from there. On here there are no extra points to save up so you won't have to worry about trying to eat them all at the end of the week. Make sure to add exercise to your diet I promise it will make a huge difference and you will feel more alive than ever before! There is lots of support on here. You can add me as a friend if you like. I'm always willing to chat.

I agree, but I do miss the whole free foods idea...vegetables, and now free fruits.

vegetables are still good because they have lots of fiber and you'll find that the calories from them don't add up to fast. The only thing about fruits is the sugar, but I don't really freak out if my sugar goes over because I ate some fruit. It's natural sugar along with fiber so it is also good for you!

If WW works, use it. You can use both.

This is free, and a lot easier. Some people like the face-to-face meetings. Me? Not so much.

Vegetables were never "free." They always had calories, some more than others. WW is just trying to encourage vegetable eating because it fills you up, keeps you healthy (with nutrients) and let's face it, we all need more vegetables.

WW has their gimmicks. Calorie counting is much more straight-forward, and you will learn to eat healthy balanced meals in reasonable portions.

    Keep it simple.
