Protein or Not ???

My trainer said I need to drink a protein shake after I work out. So I do a half hour of weight lifting and then an hour of cardio. Then I drink an Isopure Protein drink that is 50 grams of protein. BUT when I looked on the label today it clearly says "As a meal supplement, not for weight loss." And my goal is obviously weight loss. Should I be drinking this or not? Any thoughts or facts would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

it's probably fine. though my personal opinion...just eat something protein packed.
i think the 'not for weightloss' part just means, don't drink this for each of your meals to try and lose weight by not eating food...ya know?0 -
Drinking a protein shake is not going to inhibit weight loss. It's just another source of energy. You do need the protein to fuel your body after an intense workout. You don't NEED protein drinks. But it is hard to have on the go easily made sources of lean proteins.0

My trainer swears by it too. I believe it helps with the muscle building which increases calories burned. It really can't hurt.0
