BUMP ???

I have seen this a lot in many messages, what does bump mean I am lost lol...

    On other forums I've been on we used it to move the topic back to "Recent Posts"

    ok so by typing bump it puts it back into the main topic? sorry I guess I am really really new to this....

    Also, lets you "bookmark" it so you can look at it later.

    I use a "bump" when I want to see what people have to say as an answer to a post. It makes it easier to find later because it will be listed under "My topics". Especially if someone has asked a question that I've had but didn't know how to ask.
