Hi.
This is my first day in myfitnesspal, just in brief about me
I am a 44 years old man, 5'7", sitting in my office all the day working with my laptop drinking coffee and smoking without eating anything till 5:PM, 6 days /week. after the meal watching TV with my family then directly to bed.
In the mid of the last April I discovered that I reached 202 pounds and scored bad points with blood test 196 LDL, 32 HDL in cholesterol levels and 395 triglycerides, as well as my Diastolic blood pressure we can say high 120/95 and fasting glucose between 110 and 120mg/dl with min 95bpm in the morning. so I looked to my children and I said it is enough.
So from 14 of April I started walking and back to my work (3.3 miles), eating healthy food 5 times daily instead of big one, doing cycling at least 4 times per week for 30 minutes after the major meal (5:45PM), minimize my smoking to half (hope to stop it soon) and one daily capsule of Zokor 20 to a period of 6 months as per my Doctor .
In the first of June I have new marks ( Weight = 178 Pounds, Fasting Glucose 90mg/dl, Morning Blood Pressure ( 115/70) with 70bpm, LDL 109 , HDL 35, Triglycerides 150 ...) I am happy now and I still need to lose 8 pounds (it is too hard now) and hoping to stop smoking, and I will try to modify the type of food and to monitor everything through the Myfitnesspal application.
Sorry for my English,
Regards

Congratulations on your success! A quick way to drop those last 10 pounds is to do a detox; eat only raw fruits and veggies, protein shake and no processed foods, you will drop it quickly and your diabetes and cholesterol will do amazing things! I completely eliminated type 2 Diabetes in 21 days on a detox 6 years ago, a male friend ,who was scheduled for the rotor rooter job, dropped 100 points of bad cholesterol, decreased his triglycerides to normal and increased his HDL by 40 points in just 28 days! His doctor was shocked, his blockages were also cleared! You can do it!

My husband had great results in his detox too, we lost a combined total of 132 pounds in 4 months (have kept it off for 6 years). He drank to much, which he quit right away but he also chewed tobacco, it took him 2 years to decide to stop that. When you make one great change you will make more if that is change is what you are after.

We all get overwhelmed by the task before us, focus on what you have accomplished, you are stronger (and smarter) than 90% of the people in the United States! You can't change 20+ years of bad habits in a few months, be kind to yourself and stay on track. My Fitness Pal is awesome.

Hello all...My name is Kathryn and this is my 3rd day using MFP. I am so hoping this is the place to be. I have NO friends living around me that are trying to lose weight so I feel all alone right now. I quite smoking 61/2 years ago and started exercising and trying to eat right but I still have gained a lot of weight. My husband supports me like crazy but I think I need more support around me. Hoping I find it here.....
