Any Teachers Out There?

I'm brand new to the site (as of last night at about 10pm). So far, I'm really liking it and I'm trying to build a network of friends to support and support me in return. I've already added quite a few and then it occurred to me that I should look for people with similar interests (don't worry if you're on my friends list already, I'm not gonna take you off ).

So, are there any teachers out there? If so, please add me! Let me know what you teach when you send the request (I'm curious). I teach 9th and 10th grade English in a small Texas town. I love my job (most days ). Why is it that schools love to feed teachers? My district is probably the worst about it. They're always giving us tacos, doughnuts, cookies, etc. I think they think it'll keep us happy, but all it does is make us fat and complaining, haha.

In a year and a half I'll have my license! Right now I'm working as an instructor at a private math tutoring company, which I also love.

I haven't had enough teacher's lounge experience to see what's in there, but my boss takes us out for pizza! It's tough to resist when it's free and delicious.
