Confused about calorie intake allocation

Hi
According to mfp it says I should be on1200 cals a day to reach my gw.
I have just been reading up on how many calories you should be on to lose weight to find out that if you have 10lb or under to lose you should adjust your calorie intake as otherwise you will reach the plateau everyone dreads and lives in fear of.
I've done some calculations and according to them, (basically my bmr x my activity levels), I should be on just over 1600 cals a day to meet my final few lbs of weight loss.
I would have thought mfp would know this and adjust my figures accordingly, but it would appear I seem to be on the generic 1200 cals allocation?!
Any thoughts or opinions would be great, thank you!

Yes, the less you need to lose, the less you should aim to lose per week.0

You can change that in your goals.....either customize it according to your bmr readings and it will change....I just did that myself.0

Thanks, I've just done that and it's gone up to 1520 cals. yay!!:happy:0
