Mini & Final Goals

First and foremost, I'll apologize beforehand because I'm sure someone has already posted something like this (and likely multiple postings) and I'm just too lazy to do a search for an old thread.
But I noticed that may of my friends on here have mini-goals along their journey. Some of the rewards are pretty nifty. I haven't thought out any mini goals, or even a milestone marker for the half-way point, but I have at least thought out some possibilities for my end goal.
I am hoping to maybe get a half-sleeve tattoo of one of my "heroes", if you will. General Kwan Yu (Guan Yu). Being of Chinese descent, I like many aspects of the culture and lore, even if I am not as well-versed in it as I should be. But General Kwan is a figure that I have been infatuated with for many years now. I would love to be able to work a traditional Kwan Dao (Kwan's Sword), but it is said that his actual Dao weight somewhere between 75lbs and 100lbs. Could you imagine swinging something like that around with deadly skill??
Anyhow, the imagine I would like to have would be one of the more classical images, such as the one in the link below:

But the point of the post is, what goals and rewards do you have in place? What kind of things will you treat yourself too at each little mini-goal? And your final weigh-in (if there is such a thing)?

I definately think little goals are so motiviating because they are more attainable (especially if you have alot to lose!). I created a little incentive chart like we did as kids for doing chores around the house or brushing our teeth. The goals were realistic and it made me feel great to get to each new milestone. Good luch!:flowerforyou:0

Yeah, I'm thinking after I hit the half-way mark I might add one or two goals in before the final one.0 -
I have not set any real mini-goals, but if I must, I guess they would be 10lb increments, so
290 by June 25th (Super Spartan Race)
280 by July 29th
270 by September 1st
Depending on my BF% when I reach 270 will determine if I'm going to try to keep losing more weight or try to maintain weight, but continue to increase strength. As far as rewards for myself, the improved self-image and confidence, along with less joint and back pain would be plenty (plus better times if I were racing at this time). I really don't have the money to reward myself like I would like to (new motorcycle), but I may get a new motorcycle jacket at that point (maybe a little sooner because of school starting).
It's given me something to think about and I may post back.0 -

Nice mini-markers. I've got about 7 lbs to hit 290. I'm thinkin I'll probably do the Warrior Dash in January. It would be my Bday weekend. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my weekend at this point. Mud, Sweat, & Beers, as the saying goes. lol... I would love to do the Spartan Run or the Tough Mudder, I just don't think at this point I could handle the distance.
Funny thing is, I actually thought about looking into a Can-Am Spyder when I hit my goal.0
