I don't cheat because I eat whatever I want all the time as long as I can still stay under my calories. I try to eat healthy most of the time, but if I want something I have it! I have still lost 39 lbs in less than 3 months by eating 'everything in moderation'0

I've heard it does your body good! The way I see it is you eat healthy and watch your numbers all week and your body gets adjusted to that and may not work as hard to burn off unwanted calories/fat. When you have your cheat day, you "trick" your body into thinking you are off the "diet". Then the following day, go back to your routine0

Although I don't look at it as "cheating", I think it works for some and doesn't for others. I have found that I can't allow myself those days anymore because I can't stop with just one meal or just one day, it carries over, and the more "bad food" I eat, the more I want, and the harder it is to fight the urges. For others, they will go on a binge if they deprive themselves for too long so they need those "cheat days". As for the body though, I think it's great to mix things up a bit and keep it guessing. To each their own. What works for one person may not work for another!0

i have a "treat" day every weekend. since i started my weightloss journey after xmas and i've consistently lost weight every week, i think i only ever had one week where i gained 0.2kg (which is obviously nothing)...
i don't binge. but i have a small bar of dark chocolate and home made pizza usually every saturday night.
i see it as a bit of a zig zagging of calories and to keep my body on it's toes by changing things up a bit.
at easter i had some chocolate, when we have big functions, i eat well, and might have a couple of drinks, but i try to control it so i'm not going crazy on the food or the drink, but nor to i go without entirely.
i think if you can treat yourself but also restrain yourself with the quantities you can make it work... i guess if you want to be supermodel thin, that might not work, but for me i just want to be normal sized...0 -
I cant cheat because I wont be able to stop if I start!0

I eat whatever I want, in moderation, on my normal days but my "splurge" day is when I'm having a special night out, big family picnic, etc.. and I don't want to track every little thing I eat, or just want to enjoy all the good food. I only do this about once every two weeks or so and have continued to lose weight.0

My cheat day varies. I usually give myself 2-3 days each month but unevenly spread out. I don't exercise and I don't worry about how many calories I eat, but then the day after, I make sure to go back to exercising and counting calories. By doing this my body doesn't get used to a routine.0

I have them though not designated weekly (it usually ends up being my popcorn @ the movies and I pay for it flushing the sodium out with water) the thing about cheat days though is most people end up consuming EVERY calorie they worked off in that one day, stalling the weight loss or eliminating it all together. I have been a fan of everything in modderation with my diet, although I eat 90% of the way healthy when I want icecream I get a small serving, when I want a candy bar, again a single serving, I make it fit in my daily intake or I work my butt off at the gym for it0

Yes, it's not bad to have a cheat day once a week if you've been doing good. You can bump up your calories by a few hundreds. Like if your daily weight loss intake is around 1,200 - 1,300 you can eat about 1,400 - 1,700 calories. That's in range of maintaining weight so you won't gain weight. But if you're trying to lose weight faster I suggest your cheat days be a limit of 1,600 or lower. I do cheat days every now and then so I don't lose my sanity. (I'm a food lover Lol)0

That's what makes this plan so great! You can eat what you want and as long as you log everything (everything!) and drink the water - even without exercise - you'll lose the weight!! Of course, exercise helps all the way around - it helps you have more energy and not be as hungry (it's true) You may have to go to bed with your tummy rumbling a little sometimes but just keep the goals in mind. I've been on the program for 80 some days and down 11 lbs and fitting into clothes that have been in my closet mocking me for a long time. Nothing like that victory!! A little tenacity and you can be where you want to be! It's not forever! I even sneak in a rice krispie treat here and there and a licorice twist here and there and still watch the scale slide down. No need to live on bean sprouts since you won't do that the rest of your life anyway. It's not realistic. Just write it all down and stick to the plan. I don't let the sugar count rule me all the time either. Even if the sugar is over - if the number is at or under your alloted calories - you'll have success. Good luck!!0
