So as we all know, 1/2 cup of uncooked rice = 1 cup of cooked rice.

So in my food log, so I put that I had 1/2 a cup or 1 cup of rice? :S

I mean, isn't 1/2 cup of uncooked rice the same as 1 cup of cooked rice?

i'm a little confused...

I had rice tonight. On the box it says Serving size: 1/2 cup (makes 2/3 cooked) and it's 150 calories. So it says right on the box that it's 150 calories

either one :) 1 serving of 1/2 c 'raw' should equal the calories of 1 serving of 1c cooked, try and see.
  • i just entered it in myself and saved it in my foods. It only takes a minute and then i know for sure.
  • okay so i went and searched it... apparently 1 cup of rice yeilds about 3 cups cooked or a little more depending on what kind it is. so when it says 1/4 cup dry, its about 3/4 cup cooked. I guess there are some things i still dont know! shocker!
