So on my days off I wake up around 10 am and on my work days i wake up at 430 am am i supposed to eat more on my work days since they're longer? I know that some people say you have to eat right when you wake up but if i did that id start at 5 am and eat every 2 or 3 hours until i go to sleep and that adds up to a lot more cals than i want! What do you all do?

Im having that problem now that I am working full time and up alot earlier.

I definitely have that problem too, it's way easier for me to stick to my calories on the weekends where my first meal may not be until after 11, than it is when my first meal is around 6.30-7 meaning I'm ready for another hit around 10!0

i work shifts and have 3 kids under 5. sleep and rest are somewhat erratic and can be elusive. i eat when i'm hungry, and don't when i'm not. listen to your body- it will let you know what it needs.
sorry i can't be any more help than that.0 -
If I wake up later, I definitely don't have issues eating the right amount. If I wake up super early, then I'm hungrier earlier...0

I have the same problem! On the days I work and get up at 445am I eat much earlier and consume more calories throughout the day.0

I eat my meals at around the same amount of calories per day regardless of when I wake up. Approx. 300 for breakfast, 400 lunch, 500 dinner, and 300 in snacks. I add more to snacks and dinner if I exercise so that I am at a calorie balance close to zero by bedtime. (1500 net calories)
Make sure you're getting roughly 7-8 hours of sleep. If you're sleep deprived, you're likely to be extra hungry. It happens to me all the time, so when I get hungry I have a small snack (100 or less calories) and get myself to bed.0 -
This might be a good situation in which staggering your caloric intake per day would be ideal. For instance, let's say your goal intake is 1500 calories per day. On a short day, you might consider eating 1200. Then eat 1800 on one of your long days (add the 300 calories you missed back in). Good luck!0

Spread out the calories throughout your day, regardless of the time you wake up. For example, if you are eating 1200 calories, eat the most calories when you need the most energy. I would have a fruit and some water for breakfast on the early mornings, maybe yogurt around 8 or 9am, then a bigger lunch (salad, chicken breast) at 11 or 12. Another small snack around 3, then dinner, and another snack. On the 10 am wake-up days, enjoy a bigger breakfast, then a light lunch, etc. Just my thoughts, hope it helps0

Im the complete opposite waking up early is better when I have to go work because I dont have as many chances to eat plus being on a schedule keeps me in a routine with everything including when I eat, when Im at home all day on weekends and summer Im more likely to eat when Im not on a schedule0

I get up very early on work days. I usually have a heavier breakfast (300-500 calories), then a snack mid-morning, a very light lunch, a late afternoon snack (around 150 calories), and then dinner. If I'm really dragging, I have an after dinner snack (50-100 calories). I try to exercise on my work days, so the extra calories are earned, but yes, I usually need more food on those days.
On weekend, I tend to sleep later and skip breakfast. I get up about lunch time, so I just have a heavier lunch.0 -
Caloric intake should be on the money every day, no mater thew length, they should be already set when you go into the day, they should be based on BMR and excess energy expenditure. I normally wave load calories to keep the metobism high, a few lower carbs days and a few higher.0
