How do I track Kinect Sports like boxing and soccer?

I just started today and I'm REALLY out of shape. So I've been doing Kinect Sports in my living room. Does anyone know how to calculate it for calories burned? Or what I should label it as under Exercise?

Your calorie burn can be drastically different from someone else, it's really worth the money to just get a heart rate monitor so you know exactly what you are burning. There are good deals to be had on Amazon.0

It is for the Xbox I believe. And in my opinion Kinect is SO much better than Wii Fit!!!! You aren't stuck on a board.0 -

As already said it's for the Xbox, and it's an entirely different way of interfacing with the system. I have a WII and WII Fit, and while great I have a friend with the Kinect and it's so much better. Kinect uses camera recognition software. YOU are actually the controller, not a board or wand that really even only requires a slight movement. So with Kinect if you are playing a boxing game, you have to throw a real punch in order for your "avatar" on the screen to throw a punch. It's really an advanced piece of technology. I was joking with my friend that rather than being fat and lazy and never leaving their computer chair, the next generation of gamers are going to be these super fit buff dudes and gals because all the games are going to go to this live action "virtual suit" style of control. When my friend first got his he came into work walking funny because he wasn't used to working out so hard.0 -
lol- That's an awesome vote for Kinect. I've never personally tried the Wii Fit-- but I'm loving the Kinect. It's just right for me and my family. And we really get sweating!0
