How on earth does everyone keep their willpower up? I seem to be ok for a day or two then fall back into bad habits. I even got my boyfriend to weigh me and measure me *mortofied about size* but he is going to every week to make sure im doing it, of course Wed and Thurs i was doing great, yesterday i went off a bit and today I am just off the band wagon again! I need to get 4 stone down please help. I know i have to eat 1500 a day. So today I logged on here and I think ill start doing this instead

Once you start eating better, cutting fat, sugar, salt, there is no taste left in the food so you don't want it. LOL
No, When you start eating better you body doesn't crave the bad things so you will lose a lot of those cravings.
Try to eat as close to whole food as you can. Buy Whole Wheat low carb breads, Pastas, Pita, Tortilla. Whole grain rice.
Sweet potato instead of white. Fresh Vegetables for cooking and salads. Fresh Fruits. Yogurts. Nuts. Stay away from processed and fast foods as much as you can. Educate yourself on portion size and stick with it. Slow and steady will mean you will stick with it forever. Good luck.0 -
It's hard at first, but if you just keep going, it will get easier as time goes on. Just imagine yourself at your goal weight, & see how that feels. Also, if you want some motivation, go to the "Success Stories" forums and look at some posts from there. A lot of people put up their before and after picture of their weight loss. It's a GREAT way to get motivated.
You can also add me as a friend if you'd like, & i'll help to encourage you0 -
for me it was diabetes scare > Willpower, motivation, insert words here.
I started slow and the only thing I cut out completely and went cold turkey on was soda pop. I weaned myself off fast food over time. When I started I ate unhealthy 2-3x a week. then it became 1-2x every other week then a month. 8 months later it I still enjoy a burger here or pizza there. 1-2x a month.
I don't cut something out completely because I know I'll end up craving it and binge. it doesn't work for everyone but it's what works for me. except soda pop. I can't explain that one I just stopped altogether and haven't had any since Dec. 2009.0
