Ok, so I have lost a few pounds and I have PCOS. I really noticed this month that when TOM came I can actually see my stomach sticking out all bloated. I haven't really gained any weight - am not losing either during this...but my question is - do any of you notice that much bloating? Was I always having this issue but just had so much fat covering it I didn't see it? My stomach is noticably round and hard. Just feels weird...Another strange thing on this journey :ohwell:

I do bloat quite a bit, and my pants get noticeably tighter. It's T.O.M for me, too, and I have been working my butt off to get my last 4 lbs off and the scale refuses to budge because I am so bloated. It better show a significant drop when this is over!0

Yes, I notice it too. Some months are worse than others. I try to really stay away from sodium during TOM and drink loads of water. But it is sometimes really hard to do so with all the cravings that come along with TOM. I usually gain 1-2 pounds and lose it within three days of TOM finishing. I try not to weigh myself during or for a couple days afterward. STUPID TOM!0

Actually I just finished TOM and my belly was HORRIBLE. I went to bed last Sunday with PJs that fit and woke up with PJs that didn't!! The were too tight along my tummy. I don't have PCOS, it is just something that happens sometimes. Actually it was so bad I ended up sleeping all day Tuesday-- never made it to the gym-- though I slept in my gym clothes and tennis shoes!!
For most of the week I felt like I had someone poking me right in the upper stomach. Anyway- these are my feelings on the matter:
Nexium is a lifesaver. It ended up making me feel so much better. I just need to finish the 14 day course this time. I looked up GERD and TOM and apparently TOM can cause an increase in stomach acid.
I had started eating wheat bread etc. I tend to carb load the week before TOM (that's what I crave) and I'm thinking that my stomach may be sensitive to the wheat product as well as other carb stuff.

I Usually gain 2 lbs during that time. Try to drink more water it does help stay away from salt it just makes it worse.0
