Ok, so I've been pretty (ok, very) frustrated about losing every 9/10 days as opposed to what I'm used to-EVERY WEEK-the same day-faithfully! Eight-six months ago this was my pattern. I lost 25LBS doing the same thing I'm doing now-staying just under, being consistent, and giving myself one day off each week. And I didn't have MFP...

I know I sound ridiculous, but that kind of weight-loss will get you spoiled! I mean, at least I'm losing. And it IS 2lbs every time, so I'm greatful for that. It's just a challenge for me to adjust to actually feeling like I don't have this thing figured out. Weight-loss is hard enough, WITHOUT finding your ''groove.'' Now, I'm actually a little...confused??? I guess I'm wondering what changed for me? Maybe its because I drink a lot more H2O-could that be the culprit?? I know the body retains more H20 at different times-especially around "those" times. Maybe TOM on it's way AND the H20??? Who KNOWS what the heck my body is doing/going through.

All I know is I, for the first time EVER (during weight-loss of course or I wouldn't be here-lol) fell off! I got upset and said "whatever." I'm not mad at myself, I mean I NEVER do that, I allow myself one day/week ANYWAY, AND maybe tricking and tripping up my body (I know your body gets used to routine and gets "hip" to what your doing) will ACTUALLY work out to my benefit!?!? :ohwell: We shall see on my every 9/10 (sarcastic) weigh-in day...

Ok fit fam, hang in there with me.

Thanks for allowing me to vent ( I REALLY needed that) and pray for me!:flowerforyou:

Love you guys!

It's a good rant and I share your frustrations at times and I've only been consistent for 4 weeks. Good for you for being so good for such a long time.

I know the number on that scale is so important but ask yourself a couple of other questions.

How do you feel eating healthy? I'll bet it's pretty darn good!
How do you feel after exercising? I'll bet Pretty darn good again - even when it's hard.
Do your clothes fit better? Do you look better? Bet ya do!
Invest in your long term future, not just the next 9/10 days. If you are confident you are doing the right things, then keep on doing them and in time, you will see results.

I know personally your frustration. I lost 50 pounds once before with a combination of healthy eating and RUNNING. Now I can't run (yet - still hoping) and have some muscle issues after surgery. And I'm more mature (yes, we don't use the "A" word (ageing) around here! :-) So my journey is taking longer and I get SOOOOOO frustrated when I know with all my heart I've had a good week and the scale moves 1/2 a pound.

I am reminded of one of my favorite verses for peserverence.

    Ephesians 6:13
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, AND HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND."

So dig your heels in girl and refuse to give up. You will get there! Hugs, Yvonne

Yes...what oyvonnee said!! You have BEEN doing this, you can STILL do this, and you can CONTINUE to do this no matter what changes may come, it's all a part of the journey and you have already done an awesome job thus far, so maybe it's time for a little bout with trial and error so you can find the right groove...in the meantime, 9-10 days with a 2lb loss is GREAT, so keep up the good work!!:flowerforyou:

Awwww, thanks Yvonne-I NEEDED that! It gets difficult to see the big picture when your looking for tiny numbers...but you are right! I DO feel better, look better, and it could be much worse. You're an angel!

You have to switch up your routine once in a while. The things that worked for you 6-8 months ago aren't going to work for you now because your body is used to it. Try different exercises and add new things/subtract old things to your diet. Don't worry so much about the number on the scale. Maybe you should measure and keep track of inches lost instead of focusing on the number and not weigh so much. Weighing in everyone 2 weeks or even once a month is a good idea because the number on the scale will drive you crazy.

Hey abalicious-you are right! I kind of thought that my body would figure out whats going on and "adjust."
That is a good idea, maybe I will change the game a little.
I also intend to buy a measure "thingy" to measure my inches, I thought about that too and am going to buy it Sunday because the scale is against me and I'm convinced it's out to destroy me!!!!
LOL-thanks again-great, great, great words of support!!!
