When you take measurements / determine inches lost. What's the "norm" places to measure? People say "I've lost X inches" but they may be measuring more than someone else.

Also, do you do each arm/leg side or just one?

Personally I measure chest, natural waist, obliques, hips, both thighs and both arms lol. All my trouble zones. I think most people just do chest, waist and hips.

I measure neck, waist, hips, both thighs, both calves, both upper arms, my wrist, both forearms and my bust. Then I use a digital scale to measure % body fat. No wonder weigh day takes me so long!

I measure only one side of the body (the dominant side because it's usually bigger). I also measure multiple sites that most people don't, but they are sites that I measure for various reasons in the gym. Wrist (to determine frame size for my clients), Forearm, Bicep (relaxed and flexed so we can see the difference in fat and muscle), chest (at the armpits for guys), bust (at the nipple line for women), waist, lower abdominal (where women complain about the bulge), hips, thigh, and calf.

    I measure:
    -upper arms (R and L)
-the uppermost part of my thigh (R and L)
-around my bust (the largest part of your boobs)
    -neck
-the smallest part of my waist (right above belly button)
-the widest part of my hips (below belly button)
