Hi all
I've been stuck at a plateau for about 3 months now so I've decided to take a new approach and focus heavily on weight training to increase my RMR and this reduce my body fat. I am currently following the 'New Rules of Lifting For Women' program which I'm really enjoying.
Just to summarise my situation:
Height: 5ft 5ins
Weight: 149lbs
work outs 1 x PT session, weights based, 2 x strength training sessions with HIIT, 1 x spin class and 1 x boxing class each week
My question is this. If I am going as hard as I can with the weights and I increase my weights each week ,so I know I must be getting stronger, does that necessarily mean that my muscles are getting bigger? (I don't know because I still have 10lbs of fat to lose)
All constructive thoughts comments greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance:drinker: :drinker:

There are 2 ways to increase your mass, increase the fluid in the muscle, or build new muscle. Either way you'd weight heavier. If you're weight training you can't focus on "Losing weight" resistance training will make you weigh heavier.0 -
Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry if my post wasn't clear, what I'm aiming for is to reduce my body fat (& hopefully inches) :happy:0
