Not really answerable as it depends on the size of the strawberries but i'd say a portion would be roughly equal to the size of a medium sized apple

I second this! When I started, I eyeballed things and used measuring cups. But then I started using a food scale and I was AMAZED at what actually equaled a serving size. I was overestimating. A lot!

I don't have a food scale, but if you have an iPad/iPhone the Figwee app is extremely helpful! It is a giant library of food photos at different portion sizes, which is adjustable by a scroll bar. You can see the fat/calorie/sodium/whatever amount of most foods easily. It has actually helped me with my portion control/spotting.

A food scale is cheaper and is no doubt more accurate, but the Figwee app appeals to my tech side.

I eat as many as I want. The trick is to eat them (and all carbs) early in the day.
