Do you wash running sneakers?

I have had my sneakers for about 3 months and only wear them to run on paved trails. However they are getting super dirty and there is no 'white' left anywhere on them. I want to throw them in the washer but am afraid they will fall apart or won't 'feel' the same anymore. I don't know if it matters the brand, but they are Saucony's.

I think washer time adds a fair bit to the wear that a shoe experiences, an it shortens their functional life span. I just spray the outside with oxyclean and scrub them a bit, and then hand rinse and dry under a fan in the garage. That gets them a bit cleaner, and what it does not take care of, I chalk up to shoe character.

Do they have clothon them? If they do you can. If they are leather I use soft scrub with bleach. They clean up nicely.

If you wash them do not put them in the dryer.

I do wash mine. Set washer on delicate cycle so they just slosh around a bit. I also don't let them go through the spin cycle. and never ever do they go in the dryer(trust me on that!!)

I spray mine down with Spray N Wash or Shout...let soak for about ten minutes then throw them in the washer with a towel like a normal wash.

I never dry them. I just set them out to dry over night.

I have read that they life of them is shortened when washed but mine get super dirty looking although I only run on roads.

Why would I ever was running shoes? Who is going to look at how dirty they are, or care? Dirt shows they are being used. It must be a woman thing?

Agree with prior poster that it adds wear and tear to the shoes (especially if you dry them). If you wash tennis shoes (like my wife), dry them outside in the sun.
