Activity Level help

So I just started working a new job, Fed Ex Ground. I work for about 4-5 hours a night, and I do work up a sweat. As of now, I am constantly moving, even tho I stay in a contained area. I am constantly scanning, stacking, and moving little boxes, placing labels on them, and putting them onto a belt or sorting them into bags. Every once and a while I have to walk up and down the belt and collect bags of boxes, then break those bags open to do the prior. At the end of the day my arms and shoulders are pretty sore.

How do you think I should log this? I don't know if I should up my activity level, or keep it as sedentary and just log my work daily. It;s only a 4 hour shift and I'm not sure how long they assume shifts are on MFP when they account for your lifestyle.

I've tried to log it in my exercise as 60 minutes of 'moving, household, boxes' & 60 minutes of 'walking 2.0 mph.'
That doesn't add up to 4 hours, I know, but the calories burned from that is well over 500 calories. And I'm not sure it that's accurate.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

I think the way you said you're already logging it sounds pretty accurate.
I guess it depends on whether or not you intend to eat your exercise calories back.

You could try to wear a pedometer to keep track of how many steps you walk and log it that way.
  • If it was me, I would increase my activity level and not put it in as excercise. If you increase your activity level it won't affect your daily calorie limit it will just increase your daily calorie deficit.

I would also just up the activity level and not log it as exercise. My Husband logs like a 1/5 of his work day as exercise because even though his job is considered secondary activity, he actually has two jobs.

If I up my activity level, which should I put it to?

I still say you shouldn't up it because it's only 4-5 hours.
Also, how many times a week do you work there?
