I want to loose weight around my stomach, legs and upper arms but i don't want my breasts to well... shrink. I love the size and shape the are now. Will MFP with the excerise and change of dietry habits effect them?

Your body looses where it wants, you can't keep em' if it doesn't want to0

Losing weight in general can effect the size of your chest... it varies from person to person. It isnt the diet or exercise plan specifically that will cause your boobs to shrink....its just weight loss in general. For me when I lost my weight I did end up losing a lot of my chest...but it really didnt bother me, because I became more proportional. Some people's chests shrink, some do not.0

Sad thing is... a lot of breast tissue is fat... you're going to be losing fat.... therefore they will change.
I'm with you - I wish I could lose fat everywhere else and keep the boobs but have resigned myself to the fact that they're shrinking.0 -
lol it'd be my luck the only place i don't want to loose!
thanks guys!0 -
unfortunately in most cases the boobs are the first to go..
but if you try to loose weight by exercising instead of eating less, you should be able to keep them for longer!0 -
Girl, I feel ya! But you have a couple options in this, one being you can't spot reduce and the body is going to do what it is going to do it is just the way God made us...sorry, them there are the breaks for all of us…lol. Now the other less desirable, more painful and expensive option is to get lipo all in your troubled area's or breast enhancements later....just sayin...its all good.
Edit...don't worry men will still want to play them...their good like that...LOL0 -
Your body will burn fat from where it wants and when it wants to do so. Unfortunately, you can't target fat burn - which means you don't get to pick and choose where it comes from. I wish we could, but we can't.
I'm lucky - I've not lost any of my cup size -- just my band size. BUT. I've had a breast reduction so the majority of the fat from my boobs is already gone and it is just tissue left.0 -
Mine reduced but it was in proportion. If you take in account that your overall body size will be reducing, its a good thing they do a little too. Unless you want the Dolly Parton look...0

It will help the look if you do chest exercises. Like pushups, benching, flys. etc.0

Like others have said, the breast are mostly fat and will lose volume as you lose weight. Doing some chest exercises will help to strengthen the muscle underneath but the fat on top is still likely to reduce if the body wants to lose it there. For me, I've lost SO much on top. I just gave some old Lane Bryant Bras to a friend and she fits right into them and it blows my mind seeing how large I use to be!! I gave her some 42DDD ones. When I started this "journey", I was 44DDD so I kept my size for a little bit. Now although I'm wearing a 38DD, I'm actually having to go buy a new bra that is likely 36D
I buy expensive Lane Bryant bras though. One thing I'm finding is that I'm at least looking proportinate. I can't imagine continuing to be a DDD at my size, they would be huge!! Does that mean I wouldn't go have surgery after all the weight loss to help lift things?? HECK NO! If I could, I would! Unfortunatley, one of my dear friends who lost weight at the same time as me lost a lot more on tope that I did and is planning surgery in November for a lift. She went down more than I did. We both started at the same weight but it just goes to show the body loses it where it wants to for that person.
Good luck to you!! God Bless!0 -
Alas, you have no control over this. I too liked how the girls looked prior to my weight loss. They no longer look the same...but I'm ok with that when I look at how much healthier I feel, the size clothes I'm wearing (6-8!!), and how much longer I can exercise. Small price to pay...0

Ahh well I've still got some time left with my F cups x3
it's the buying of new bras i'm not looking forward to... lets face it they need matching panties0 -
I got a deal for ya. You lose all the weight you can and if your boobs go too, you can have some of mine!0
