I just started really working out again this week and I was wondering:
Does anyone else seem to have a different part of their body be sore each day?
I mainly just run/jog/walk everyday, but each day I seem to have a new body part that is sore. At first it was my knees and the next day my knees were fine but my ankles were sore. Lately it has actually been my big toes of all things.
I was just wondering it there were any tips to stop all the soreness, and just see if anyone else is having the same troubles.

Although it's not as much fun, and seems to many to be a waste of "work out time", the cool down and the stretching are CRUCIAL parts to finishing up a great work out.
In order to build muscle you have to feed it, stress it and then RECOVER it by long stretches.
1. short warm up prior to the work out
2. work out
3. long static stretches, with focus on the areas you worked the hardest
4. Eat!0 -
I usually don't feel soreness in the areas that you mentioned when I run with good form. First, I would check your shoes, your big toe shouldn't be sore at all! I would also check your gait and make sure you are running with your toes pointing forward in a straight line and not to the side where your knees would be rotated. Because I play tennis and am used to side to side motion, I have to be super careful of running straight, otherwise I will feel it in my knees.0

I played tennis all throughout high school but needed knee surgery and since haven't been up to doing much of anything. I walk a few miles to a local park then run a few miles there before walking home.0

Oh wow. Yeah, my trainer noticed my knees pronating improperly while doing squats. He states it is because the outer thigh muscles are overdeveloped and too tight when compared to my interior thigh muscles due to the requirements of tennis. He believes this over-compensation can cause my outer leg muscles to pull the knee slightly off and recommended careful stretching and focus on the interior muscles.0
