Hi, this is a really silly (blonde moment) question so here it goes:

What are the best things to eat which contain good amounts of protein???????

    Red meat, chicken, peanuts (unsalted), turkey, pork, fish, tofu (if you can stand it), soy, milk, eggs, protein shakes, regular Special K cereal has the most protein those are just some I can think of off the top of my head.

    However, red meat stays in your system on average 2 days longer than the others. So eat it sparingly. Hope this helps.

    I'll add to the list - other than meat and fish - legumes (black beans, red beans, chick peas, etc) are also high in protein. Hummus is made from chick peas and is high in protein. Greek yogurt, peanut butter or other types of nut butters. And there are soy "products" such as Boca Burgers if you want to limit meat.

    Soy is one of the worst sources of plant protein unless its fermented. Many people can't digest it properly, and it's xenoestrogen properties are not good for anyone.
