Don't panic, bad days happen. It's just part of life.

Stay on track for dinner and tomorrow and make sure to up your water intake to flush out any sodium from your system. Bad days happen, no one is perfect.

Time to kick in some exercise and burn some calories away. That is what I had to do after eating out for breakfast and lunch.

Well first I would say you remember that 1 day does not a lifestyle make. 1 day of going over really isn't going to make or break your progress. A positive mindset overall is far more important than any given day.

With that in mind I would encourage that you not look at the scale tomorrow and not worry overall. Unless you ate 3500 calories worth of biscut, any gain that the scale will show is some form of water/bloating weght, not a 'real' pound. Once your body has had a chance to process and digest more fully, you will be back to where you were.

Just something to keep in mind as you go forward- your daily goal includes a calorie deficit (so if your goal is 1300, that likely means your body WANTS 1800 calories each day even before any exercise!) so it is important to remember that even when you 'go over' your goal, you still have some buffer room before you are over eating.

Relax. Tomorrow is another day. Use today to try to figure out how you can keep yourself from letting go again and move on.

i wouldn't say a little extra will make a difference if you get back on track again tomorrow.

I have a treat every weekend, and go a little over on calories every weekend, and i feel like it kicks my metabolism into gear and gives me a spike, i have lost weight almost every week for nearly 6 months doing that.

i go with the 20% - 80% rule... I have to eat right and exercise 80% of the time and the rest will sort itself out. obviously i don't binge on the weekends, but i have a controlled treat to keep me sane and keep me from falling right off the wagon (i just hang my legs over the side of the wagon at the weekends to give me a feeling of freedom).
