Someone please tell me what it means when someone posts the word "bump" on the message boards.

    They might not have anything to say regarding the post but they are curious to see the other answers you may get to a question or want to read the article later. By "bumping" it- it will go to their "MyTopics" so they can view it easier than having to try to find it thru the database again.
  • They want to bump it to the top of the message boards so more people can view it and respond. Plus it will then show up in "my topics," as someone else mentioned.

    It "bumps" it back to the top of the forum category again so it keeps the conversation going. Some people also use it to reply to the thread so it puts a link on their wall... so they can go back and read it again later.

    Haha, I was trying to figure that out myself... I thought it always meant the answer above the person who "bumped" was good... lol
