I am needing some help with my activity level. I work out 6 days a week for at least 1/2 hour/ day if not more. I am a nurse but work a crazy schedule meaning I may not work for a long stretch and then do several shifts in a row. At home I am constantly moving and never seem to sit down.
Which activity level should I choose? I had it set on lightly active but seemed hungry all the time and thought I was at a plateau. People told me to eat more, so I upped it to the next activity level. Still not losing anything.
Can anyone help with this? I know there are examples of prifessions on there but what do you guysnthink about activity level?

the more active you tell the system you are, the less calories it wil assign you!! If you bring down your activity level it will give you a bigger calorie goal. Then you can choose either to eat the extra allowance or not. Also, have you set a realistic weekly weight loss goal? Add me if i can be of any further help.0

I would get a HRM and wear it when you exercise. That way you know FOR SURE what your burn is. You might not be burning as much as you thought you were. I would add weight training to your exercise program too. More muscle means more calories burned throughout the day,
I have mine set to active, and im a Corrections Officer. I dont walk a ton where I work this quarter, BUT, I do work out for a hour plus almost daily, and I incorporate weight training in there too. 1200 Calories was not cutting it for me, so I had to find the right calorie balance according to me.
Just try different things, everyones body is different. AND, this is NOT a race. Just keep trying different things until you get it right! Its a learning experience. Remember, we didnt get overweight overnight, so we wont get skinny overnight either!0 -

This might be one of the reasons. I picked initially (if I remember correctly) 2lbs/w, but just changing my goal to 1.5 lbs/w makes such a massive difference...0 -
I am at 1/2 lb a week weight loss goal.
I use a HRM.
I am about 3-5 lbs away from my original goal weight.
I guess I just dont know if I would be considered lightly active or what?0
