Activating RunKeeper & C25K simultaneously?

Hi,
I've started using C25K and yes, I know it has an in-app purchase for GPS but my iPhone has not been updated and please don't ask me why...it's a very long and boring story...but I can't just update the phone right now...so I'm loving the C25K but I can't track my pace or distance. Someone on MFP recommended i check out Runkeeper and I love it! I've downloaded the app since and I'd like to use RunKeeper to track my pace and distance but use C25K to be my running coach. Anyone knows if I can run these two apps at the same time?
I tried to test it out, by starting Runkeeper first and then press the 'Home' button and start the C25K. When I press the 'Home' button again and go back into Runkeeper, it looks like it's paused on its own and I have to hit Resume. I don't know if it just pauses everytime I get out of the app...or it is actually running in the background and I should just leave it...
Anyone has any experience using these two programs at the same time? Thanks!!
Tiffany

I use Endomondo to track my pace and distance, I think it's the same as Runkeeper. And I have been using both C25K and Endomondo at the same time and I love it!0

with runkeeper app on iphone you can put interval training in! GPS and little beeps to tell you when to run, it's what I do
when you open the app, click "coaching" and then scroll down to "add new workout", then enter a name and details. e.g. 5 min steady, 1 min slow. (you can also track distance, aka, 1km steady, 200m slow) Then click the repeat button. (note, if you repeat it 4 times, you will have 5 x 5min steady, 5 x 5min slow) you can also toggle the warm up and cool down.
easy!
(edit - I don't have mulitasking on my iphone, so this is the only solution for me)0 -
I run both on my android phone and I always start the C25K first and then runkeeper.0
